Environmental and Water Resources Engineering

EWRE emphasizes environmental hydraulics, surface and ground water hydrology, water quality control, and water quality modeling. Research areas include storm water management, natural river morphodynamics, surface water hydraulics, urban hydrology, fate and transport modeling of contaminants in estuaries and coastal waters, sediment-water interactions of contaminants, sediment transport mechanics, remediation of contaminated ground water, and sorption of organic pollutants to soil.
