LAW 9336 - Balancing Public Safety and Civil Liberties: Law Enforcement Policy-Making

This interactive seminar will address the various factors that impact important public policy decisions made at the agency level of municipal government. Within any applicable legal framework, agencies often have a range of policy options from which to choose. We will examine how local advocacy groups affect litigation, and how media can impact the manner in which law enforcement agencies assess risks.
