General Business - Minor

The Purpose
The purpose of the General Business minor is to expand access to Commerce education by providing fundamental business knowledge and skills that will complement any major area of study and, thereby, expand students’ career prospects and better prepare them for making a positive impact at work and in society. Eligibility
Students may declare the General Business minor after they have (1) declared their major in SIS, (2) completed COMM 1800, and (3) completed two of the four core courses. Requirements
GPA Requirement Students are required to earn a GPA of 2.0 or higher in the 15 unique credits taken for the minor in order to graduate with the credential. School of Enrollment Requirements Students must follow their school of enrollment’s deadlines, rules, and regulations in order to declare the minor. Curriculum Requirements
Students in the General Business minor are required to complete 15 unique credits (9 required and 6 elective) as outlined below. Courses may only be used to satisfy requirements for one concentration or minor within the Commerce School. Please see the Majors and Minors/Double Counting of Courses section of the Academic Rules for more details. Prerequisites
Students must complete the following prerequisite course. Core Courses (Four Courses Required)
Elective Courses (6 credits)
