EDIS 5730 - Diagnosis & Remediation I: Word-Based Assessment & Intervention Effective Start Date: 01/01/2022 The course incorporates research evidence that describes key influences on word reading (e.g., phonological awareness, phonics, spelling, decoding, & fluency). Students learn to administer and interpret various types of reading assessments with the ultimate goal of using an assessment-based intervention approach. Finally, the course provides opportunities to reflect and discuss interventions targeting various sub-component skills of word reading.
Credits: 3 Grading Basis: Graded Requisites: Student must have completed EDIS 7700 and EDIS 7720
