Aerospace Science and Leadership - Minor

The Aerospace Science and Leadership minor is open to both ROTC and non-ROTC students. The minor expands access to military informed leadership development while leveraging existing AIRS courses and the strong regional presence of AFROTC Detachment 890.
The minor consists of an Air Force/Space Force-specific curriculum with required completion of 16 credits and a prescribed course sequence. The courses in the minor encompass the following:
- Foundational coursework in leadership and ethics
- Progressive instruction in organizational leadership and decision-making
- Applied laboratory or experiential learning
- A requirement in U.S. military history or national security

Required AIRS Courses (13 credits)
All students will complete the following 7 courses: Restricted Elective (3 credits)
All students will select and complete one of the following courses: Optional Leadership Laboratory (0 credits)
Students have the option of completing a non-credit leadership laboratory: Total Required Credits: 16
