Military Science - Minor

The Military Science Minor is open only to ROTC students, to enhance military informed leadership development while leveraging existing military science courses and the strong regional presence of Army ROTC (AROTC). The minor consists of a Military Science-specific curriculum with required completion of 17 total credit hours, consisting of all Basic and Advanced Military Science courses and one approved U.S. military history course.

Curriculum Requirements

Required MISC Courses (14 credits)

All students will complete the following 8 courses:

MISC 1010 - Introduction to Leadership, the Army and Critical Thinking Credits: 1
MISC 1020 - Introduction to Leadership & the Profession of Arms Credits: 1
MISC 2010 - Leadership & Decision Making Credits: 2
MISC 2020 - Team Development & Army Doctrine Credits: 2
MISC 3010 - Unit Training & the Warfighting Functions Credits: 2
MISC 3020 - Applied Leadership in Small Unit Operations Credits: 2
MISC 4010 - Mission Command & the Army Profession Credits: 2
MISC 4020 - Msn Cmd & Co. Grade Officer Credits: 2

Restricted Elective (3 credits)
