Data Analytics - Minor

Return To: College of Arts & Sciences: Minor Programs

This minor is for students who are interested in learning from data but may have little or no data analysis background.  It requires no prior experience with statistics, computing, or data analysis.  Students completing this minor will gain significant experience with working with data to prepare for analysis, drawing conclusions from data, and communicating conclusions.

This minor currently requires an application to declare. Students are eligible to apply if they have declared a major, have finished all declaration prerequisites with a grade of C- or higher, and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 or have experienced extenuating circumstances that have contributed to a lower GPA. A random lottery is used to select students to declare from the pool of eligible applicants. Additional details and explanation can be found on the Department of Statistics website.
