Materials Science and Engineering Minor

Program Requirements

A minimum of five MSE courses constitutes an MSE minor. Contact the MSE department for guidance selecting the best courses and sequencing.

• You must take both of the following courses:

• MSE 2090 - Introduction to Materials Science Credits: 3
• MSE 3050 - Thermodynamics and Phase Equilibria of Materials Credits: 3

  You must select at least one of the following two courses (you may also elect to take both):

• MSE 3060 - Structures and Defects of Materials Credits: 3
• MSE 3070 - Kinetics and Phase Transformation in Materials Credits: 3

  You may select a course or courses from the following list to complete your five course minor:
