Program Information
The minor in Global Culture and Commerce (GCC) focuses on the intersection of two sets of issues: (1) cultural translation and cross-cultural knowledge, and (2) the history and diversity of global commercial forms such as companies, markets, trade networks, money and credit, legal systems, supply chains, labor regimes, and economic and cultural development institutions.
The minor consists of six courses (of which two must be in Anthropology) planned in accordance with the student’s interests, plus one co-requisite language course, to be chosen in consultation with the minor Directors.
To apply for the minor, students should consult the director, Ira Bashkow.
