Return to: School of Continuing and Professional Studies: Departments/Programs
The Cloud Computing certificate provides working adults with the knowledge and skills to begin careers as cloud SysOps Administrators or Solutions Architects. Students are exposed to fundamental concepts in how to design, deploy, manage and operate computing applications in the cloud, gaining the conceptual understanding, technical knowledge and human skills required for success in the workplace. Graduates will be able to demonstrate knowledge of computing, networking, storage and database services needed for robust cloud deployments. The certificate prepares students to pass the Foundational-level AWS Cloud Practitioner certification and the Associate-level AWS Certification exams in the Architect (Solutions Architect) or Operations (SysOps Administrator) pathways, however, pursuing these industry-recognized credentials is optional and not required by the program. Note: The AWS Certifications are not affiliated with any formal government or licensing board. Total credits required: 18.
