Admission Requirements

Admission application form including 1-page essay, CV, and transcript. Undergraduate applicants must have completed one of the Certificate courses with a grade of B- or higher before applying. Applications will be read by at least two members of the Certificate Committee. Meeting with a Certificate Advisor (a member of the Certificate Committee) to work out schedule is required.

Required Courses (all in-person)

Students must complete:

• LING 3090 - TESOL Theory and Method Credits: 3  
• LING 3101 - ESL Teaching Practicum: Language Credits: 1  
• LING 3102 - ESL Teaching Practicum: Culture Credits: 1  
• LING 3103 - ESL Teaching Practicum: Writing Credits: 1  
• LING 3400 - Structure of English Credits: 3  

Students must complete two additional courses with a minimum of 6 credits from:
