The 6-course (18-credit) undergraduate certificate program prepares individuals for entry-level contracting officer positions in federal government agencies. Students will fulfill both the FAI and DAWIA CON course training required to meet Contracting Level I certification. Students will obtain necessary skills and abilities to successfully use the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) to develop acquisition strategies, substantiate contracting decisions, evaluate proposal, award, manage and close out contracts. The FAC courses also provide professionals in the private sector government contracting community with an in-depth understanding of how acquisition functions at the federal level.
