Requirements for Minor
A minor in architectural history requires 17 ARH credits, including ARH 1010 and ARH 1020, and 9 credits of ARH electives with a minimum grade of C-. No thesis is required. Architecture Minor
A minor in architecture provides students with an opportunity to develop a basic understanding of, and appreciation for, architecture as an important component of culture and the built environment. The Minor in Architecture is offered to all students at the University. Students who complete the Minor range from those whose major is in a related field and who wish to expand the boundaries of that endeavor, to those considering graduate study in architecture. Requirements

- ARCH 1020 - Lessons in Making Credits: 4
- ARCH - Architecture department elective Credits / Units: 3

Prerequisite: ARCH 1010 - Elective within the School of Architecture Credits / Units: 3
Total Credits: 17 Upper-level undergraduate students may enroll in graduate courses in the 5000 level for elective credit. These courses are described in the Graduate Record and are offered through all four departments.
Although ARH, ARCH, LAR, and PLAN are pre-professional and professional courses, not all are restricted to School of Architecture students. If students outside the school wish to enroll in one of these courses, they should secure the approval of the faculty member offering that course. Even in professionally-oriented courses, some faculty members encourage and welcome such participation.
Global Sustainability Minor
A Minor in Global Sustainability is comprised of 5 courses: a required Foundation Course, Global Sustainability; three electives from a pre–approved list with one course selected from each of three categories: equity, environment, and economy; and a final Capstone course selected from an approved list of sustainability–focused, upper–level courses in several disciplines. No more than two of the four elective courses may be taken within a student’s own department, in order that each student add breadth to their major course of study. Landscape Architecture Minor
Undergraduates wishing to minor in landscape architecture explore the issues and the future of the natural and built environment as shaped by dynamic processes and human cultural practices. The minor is offered to all undergraduates–from those considering graduate studies in landscape architecture to those who just wish to broaden the scope of their major in a related field.
