The Certificate in Information Technology provides valuable education for undergraduates, career changers, and other professionals looking to enter and succeed in the field of information systems. Developed by an advisory board of industry leaders, this 19-credit hour program introduces the language of IT to those new to the field. Undergraduate coursework introduces the concepts, terminology, business processes, and computer applications that staff at all organizational levels must understand to effectively interact in a high tech environment.
The certificate provides the credential to enter both entry-level and mid-level positions in the areas of systems analysis, information architecture, Web design and development, technical sales and marketing, quality assurance, client liaison and customer service, technical writing, and administration.
Students may choose the Information Technology certificate or the Information Technology with a Concentration in Web Content Development Certificate. Both certificates can be completed online.
