PLIR 708 - Military Force in International Relations Examines the threat and use of military force in international relations. Surveys the conceptual and theoretical literature on the subject; evaluates leading theories in light of historical experience; and explores a variety of factors that have traditionally conditioned the use of force, including ethical considerations, international law and organizations, the policy-making process, and public opinion.
