PHYS 582 - Introduction to Nanophysics

An introduction to rapidly-evolving ideas in nanophysics. Covers the principles involved in the fabrication of nanosystems and in the measurement of phenomena on the nanoscale. Concepts necessary to appreciate applications in such areas as non-electronics, nano-magnetism, nano-mechanics and nano-optics, are discussed. (Y)
