MUSI 723 - Issues in Ethnomusicology

Intended as a first intensive experience with ethnomusicology and performance studies, this seminar explores musical ethnography, field research, and a performance approach to both. Addresses issues involving race, class, gender, and identity politics in light of particular topics and area studies. (IR)
