Surveys the research designs commonly used in health settings, as well as their practical applications. Students gain basic research skills, a beginning familiarity with common statistical methods, and a fundamental ability to read and analyze health-related research articles. Emphasizes basic human rights and ethical issues in the conduct of research. (Y)
