SOC 5057 - Sociology of Family Effective Date 03/01/2009 This course analyzes the ways in which societies address needs of intimacy, care and provisioning – the tasks commonly assumed by families – under varying circumstances and in different contexts, including from historical and comparative perspectives. Prerequisite: Six credits in sociology or permission from the instructor.
