LAW 7031 - Federal Criminal Law Effective Date 01/01/2011 This course explores the scope and structure of federal crimes. The course covers the jurisdiction of the federal government over crime, including constitutional limitations; the emerging law of federal mens rea; four crimes that illustrate the enormous reach of the federal criminal law; and RICO, the most important organized crime statute in history. Broader policy issues are discussed.
