Effective Start Date: 01/01/2022 This course will build on students’ general knowledge of Neuroscience topics and aim to achieve a deeper understanding of the fundamental principles of Neuroscience. Topics covered: (1) cell biological and electrical properties of the neuron; (2) synaptic transmission and synaptic plasticity; (3) transduction of physical stimuli and processing of sensory information; and (4) development and evolution and the nervous system.
Requisites: Must have taken PSYC 2200 or BIOL 2100. Enrollment not allowed if already completed or currently enrolled in BIOL 3050.
