BIOL 4230 - Bioinformatics and Functional Genomics Effective Start Date: 10/01/2015 The Genome Era has transformed modern biology, providing sequence data that records genetic changes that occur over time scales from billions of years (evolution) to months (tumor growth). This interdisciplinary course introduces the algorithms, statistics & biological concepts used to make inferences from genome datasets and will provide the computational foundation & practical experience needed to test biological questions using genome data.
