EVGE 5880 - Glaciology Effective Start Date: 03/27/2020 The growth and decay of glaciers and ice sheets impact the hydrosphere, biosphere, atmosphere, and geosphere. This course focuses on physical glaciology, glacial hydrology, glacial geology, landscape evolution, Earth’s glacial history, current and future state of glacial ice, and global impacts of ice mass changes. Students will explore these topics through active discussions, scientific reasoning, quantitative exercises, and written communication.
Credits: 3 Grading Basis: Graded Requisites: Graduate student in Environmental Sciences or completed EVSC 2800 or EVSC 2850 or EVSC 3600
