EDIS 5222 - Reading Development for Special Populations Effective Start Date: 03/01/2009 Participants will develop an understanding of the reading process and reading disabilities. Emphasis will be on the use of effective practices for primary, secondary, and tertiary instruction for children in the primary grades or older children with beginning reading skills. This course will include an examination of current reading theory and research and its implications for assessment, instruction, and intervention.
