BME 8890 - Biomolecular Engineering Effective Start Date: 03/01/2009 In this class, students design treatment strategies for cancer and cardiovascular disease based on molecular bioengineering principles. Special topics will include design of nanoparticle drug and gene delivery platforms, materials biocompatibility, cancer immunotherapy, and molecular imaging. Prerequisites: Undergraduate coursework in cell and molecular biology and biomechanics. Recommended undergraduate course in transport processes.
