STAT 4260 - Databases Effective Start Date: 02/16/2016 This course provides an introduction to databases. Topics include traditional relational databases and SQL (Structured Query Language) for retrieving information from them, and several noSQL databases built on different organizational structures, such as PostgreSQL (an open source relational database), MongoDB and CouchDB (key-document), Redis (key-value), HBase (column family), and Neo4J (graphs).
Requisites: Must have completed one of the following: STAT 3430 or 3250 or 3240 or CS 1010 or 1020 or 1110 or 1111 or 1112 or 1113 or 1120
