COMM 4694 - GCI: Business, Politics & Culture in the European Union Effective Start Date: 08/01/2013 This class looks at the origins, development, and current institutions of the European Union. The focus is on the environment in which business operates, cultural differences, and the emerging issues of regulation. The European Union is the most developed of the regional trading groups but has always had a somewhat different purpose. Antitrust, banking regulation, and response to economic crisis are some of the major topics considered.
