CHEM 3240 - Coding in Matlab/Mathematica with Applications This course focuses on an introduction to programming and data manipulation, with an emphasis on applications. Students have the choice of using Matlab or Mathematica as their programming language, with course instruction spanning both languages. Topics include loops, data structures, functions and functional programming, randomness, matrices, and string manipulation, plus applications selected from chemistry, statistics, or image processing.
Prerequisite: One semester of calculus is recommended but not required.
