Topics include the chemistry of air/water pollution, global climate change, alternative energy, polymeric materials, organic vs. non-organic agriculture, biotechnology, & drugs will be examined. After learning the pertinent structures, reactions & energetics, we investigate social, economic & political impacts of chemical issues surrounding these issues. No lab.
