ISHU 3190 - Writing for Your Life This course gives students a general overview of prose writing and teaches them strategies of rhetoric and composition for their own work. The course has four components, given approximately equal portions of the semester: (1) the personal essay and fiction, (2) professional writing, (3) research and journalism, and (4) opinion/analysis. Each reading assignment has a companion writing assignment, which will be critiqued and edited by peer students and by the instructor.
