BME 7782 - Medical Imaging Systems Theory Develops an intuitive understanding of the mathematical systems theory needed to understand and design biomedical imaging systems, including ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography. Topics will include multidimensional Fourier transform theory, image reconstruction techniques, diffraction theory, and Fourier optics. Prerequisite: BME 6310 or equivalent exposure to linear systems theory or instructor permission.
