BIMS 8200 - Fundamental Immunology Provides detailed coverage of topics in cellular and molecular immunology. Class will consider lymphocyte development, structure of lymphoid organs and homeostasis as well as characteristics and regulation of immune responses. Particular emphasis will be placed on experimental approaches to study the immune system. Lectures and reading provide background but focus on experimental approaches as well as discussions of the recent literature.
Prerequisites: It is strongly recommended that the student have taken a previous immunology. Permission to take the course will only be granted after a brief meeting with course director.
