PSYC 4111 - Language Development and Disorders Course will focus on language and cognitive development in persons with disabilities. Among the populations examined will be children with autistic disorder, children with Williams syndrome, deaf children, developmentally dysphasic children, adults with aphasia, and children with severe mental retardation. In addition to spoken language development, the course will examine the acquisition of sign communication skills. Prerequisite: 4th year psychology or cognitive science major status. Must have completed PSYC 3005 and PSYC 3006.
