KICH 2010 - Intermediate Maya K’iche’ I This class is the 3rd level of a 4-part sequence in K’iche’, a Maya language spoken by a million people in western Guatemala. Here students will cover more advanced grammar (verb modalities), a broader range of scripts (colonial vs. modern orthography), and conduct research based on the K’iche’ Oral History project at UNM. The class is offered as part of the UVa-Duke-Vanderbilt consortium for distance learning in LCTLs. The completion of KICH 1010 and 1020 with a grade of C- or higher.
