LAW 7756 - Roman Law of Family and Status (SC) Roman law developed over the course of more than one thousand years, and it continues to influence legal systems throughout the world. In this course, we will examine the part of Roman private law concerned with family and status. We will study Roman legal theories of marriage, divorce, parental authority, filial duty, citizenship, and slavery.
