EDIS 5723 - Word Study for the Struggling Reader This course aims to convey an understanding of struggling adolescent readers and their unique word study needs. A student’s spelling will be seen as a “window” for understanding development in word knowledge. Teachers will learn how to assess struggling adolescent learners’ spelling, design instruction, and evaluate appropriate materials.
