LAW 9141 - Law and the Humanities Responding in part to the perceived increasing influence of ‘Law and Economics’ scholarship, legal scholars over the last few decades have launched various interdisciplinary efforts under such names as ‘Law and Society,’ ‘Law and Literature,’ ‘Law and History,’ and ‘Law and the Humanities.’ The problem with this last approach, which is the subject of this seminar, is that there is little consensus as to what the ‘humanities’ properly refers to.
