PHS 5621 - Health Impact Assessment

Students learn the procedures, methods, and tools associated with Health Impact Assessment (HIA) and systematically judge the potential and unintended effects of a policy, plan, program, or project concerning the built environment of a community. Students will work in interdisciplinary teams to plan and execute an HIA. Assignments will reflect typical HIA tasks culminating in a final report as a deliverable to community stakeholders.
Prerequisite: Instructor Permission



Credits: 3
