GNUR 8210 - Scientific Progress in Nursing Through directed readings and seminars in selected areas, students develop an appreciation for, and understanding of, the evolution of nursing’s substantive research knowledge and the current state of the science in selected areas. These topical areas are broadly defined as Individual Responses to Health and Illness, Family Responses to Health and Illness, Environmental Influences on Health, and Therapeutic Interventions. Students also become acquainted with exemplary research programs, analyze and synthesize relevant literature, and develop a plan of studies to prepare them for a research career in the selected area. Prerequisite: Master’s-level nursing research course.
