GNUR 6410 - Crisis Management and Emergency Preparedness Theories will be applied to emergency preparedness and crisis management, focusing on the effects of disasters on populations and disaster response measures. Strategies and skills for effective organizational responses as well as organizational and environmental assessment, hazard identification, and plan development will be addressed. Historical and contemporary examples and public and private sector methods of managing crises will be examined.
Prerequisite: Graduate standing.
