PLAN 5603 - Biophilic Urbanism This course begins with the premise that nature is essential to healthy, happy and meaningful lives and explores how cities can be designed and planned with nature at the center. The emerging science, key research underpinnings, and principles of biophilic planning will be examined. The class will review best practices of leading biophilic cities around the world and their efforts to restore, integrate and celebrate nature.
