ISHU 3160 - Poetry: A Form of Suspension Poetry, a fundamental way of articulating experience without diminishing it, will be the focus of this course. Conducted in a workshop fashion, each class will examine a specific element of poetry in much the same way an anatomy class might focus upon distinct parts of the human body. Students will be expected to write one poem and one annotation each week and will critique each other’s poems in a carefully guided workshop.
