SOC 4680 - Sociology of Everyday This course explores concepts and theories of the everyday developed in sociology and related disciplines. Drawing on concrete examples it examines how societies are created and reproduced by the apparently mundane practices of everyday life. Among the topics to be discussed are the rules and rituals of everyday life; home, work, and leisure; the temporalities and rhythms of the everyday; patterns of mobility, and power and resistance.
