ECE 3250 - Electromechanical Energy Conversion


Analyzes the principles of electromechanical energy conversion; three-phase circuit analysis; magnetic circuits and nonlinearity; transformers; DC, synchronous, and induction machines; equivalent circuit models; power electronic control of machines. Laboratory, computer, and design exercises complement coverage of fundamental principles. Prerequisite: ECE 2630, PHYS 2415, and CS 1110, or instructor permission.
