ISHU 335 - Close Encounters with American Culture: Alien Imagery in Contemporary Popular Discourse “The truth is out there” – and the truth is that in many ways UFOs and concepts of the alien (and the extraterrestrial) have come to constitute a quintessential part of contemporary grassroots American mythos.
