Adolescent Literacy Certificate
Program Overview
The Adolescent Literacy Certificate is a stand-alone, post Master’s certificate. It is a part-time program online or in-person in Charlottesville.
This certificate is designed for teachers of students in grades 4-12, those beyond the primary years and for whom instruction becomes more content-oriented.
This certificate program is not a master’s program.
Total Number of Credits Required
15 hours of graduate coursework in reading and related areas. Six hours of course work may be transferred into the certificate with advisor permission. No requirements completed more than five years before the certificate may be applied toward the requirements for this certificate.
