RUSS 558 - Contemporary Russian Literature

Studies the evolution of Russian literature from the “Thaw” period until the present. Examines how Russia’s writers tried to accommodate, evade, or challenge the prevailing norms of Soviet literature during the 1960s and 1970s. Analyzes the forces shaping the development of contemporary Russian literature. (O)
