AMEL 302 - Topics in Asian America
An examination of social phenomena that have framed the lives of Asian Americans. Students will employ critical skills in analyzing and questioning ideas about race, class, gender, family, among other issues. Topics will include comparative analyses of Asian American communities, contemporary Asian American experience, and the specific concerns and histories of individual Asian groups in America. (Y)
