HIAF 319 - African Environmental History This course explores the historical relationships between people and their physical surroundings in Africa from earliest times to the present. These are expansive stories, varied and distinctive on the most local scale. We develop broad, interpretative themes to understand the sort of case studies we will be reading. Students explore these themes in research papers. (SS)
