ARCH 5612 - Introduction to Urban Design This course introduces urban design as an area of expertise that deals with the physical form and performance of the city, integrating various scales from a building, to a group of buildings, to entire districts, with particular focus on the open spaces between them. As an interdisciplinary practice it bridges between architecture, landscape architecture and city planning. Its role will be examined through core issues from a global perspective.
